Vince Wilfork’s New England Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony has a date and time.
On Monday, the Patriots announced Wilfork’s ceremony is on Saturday, September 24th at 4:00 pm at the Enel Plaza just outside the Patriots Hall of Fame.
Like past induction ceremonies, the outdoor ceremony is free and open to all fans.
In addition, Wilfork will be honored at halftime during the Patriots’ home-opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, September 25th.
Wilfork was voted by the fans as the 32nd inductee into the Patriots Hall of Fame back in May over finalists Logan Mankins and Mike Vrabel.
He became just the sixth player to be selected in their first year of eligibility, joining Drew Bledsoe (2011), Troy Brown (2012), Tedy Bruschi (2013), Ty Law (2014), and Kevin Faulk (2016).
Over his 13-year career, Wilfork played 11 seasons with the Patriots, contributing to two Super Bowls titles and appearing in four.
An anchor on the front seven, Wilfork helped his defenses finish in the top 10 in points allowed on eight occasions. He was named to the Patriots All 2000s, All 2010s, and 50th-anniversary teams.
Wilfork played his final two years with the Houston Texans before signing a one-day contract so he could retire a Patriot in August 2017.
Vince Wilfork said one of his favorite plays as a Patriot came against the Ravens in the AFC title game (23-20 win on Jan. 22, 2012).
Fitting, then, to have Wilfork inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame on Sept.
