Handmade jewelry store opens second location in Downtown Boise

BoiseDev first told readers about Fluff Hardware on International Women’s Day last spring – when it was making and selling jewelry to benefit local non-profits supporting women and girls.

The locally owned jewelry store now has a second and much larger (2300 square feet versus 500 square feet) location in Downtown Boise at 765 W. Idaho Street.

Just like at their original store off of State Street, which opened in March 2021, you’ll find locally made and wholesale jewelry, accessories, and home goods, including silk scarves, sterling and gold gemstone rings, bandanas, wallets, bolo ties, hats, purses and fanny packs, belts, sarongs, and more.

“If it can be considered an “accessory” we almost surely have it,” owner and designer Solymar Palm said.

Fluff Hardware’s jewelry is made locally in Palm’s Garden City studio.

“Since opening the State Street store, growth has happened so fast that just a year and a half later, we’ve opened a second location in Downtown Boise and have an 1100 square foot production studio in the Live Work Create District of Garden City with a team of 12 wonderful women running the show,” Palm said.

All of Fluff Hardware’s inventory of goods can be found and purchased on its website. It also offers pick-up at both locations.

“We are independently woman-owned and also very much take pride in the fact that we donate to a number of women/young girl-empowering local non-profits in town, including the Women & Children’s Alliance, Wild Hearts Idaho, Dress for Success, Idaho Youth Ranch, Boise Period Project, and Rad Camp (a body positive camp for women and teens),” Palm said. “Our goal is to foster confidence, courage, and leadership in women and girls one accessory at a time.”

Hours at the Idaho Street location are Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 6:30 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.
