ROCKINGHAM — A man wanted for murder in connection to a South Carolina club shooting is facing extradition from the Richmond County Jail.
Deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Trey Lamar Little, of Ellerbe, on Sunday, Aug. 7 on outstanding charges, according to a press release issued Monday morning.
The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office has charged Little with the murder of 31-year-old Ronnie Oxendine, who was shot and killed outside Club Amnesia in McColl, South Carolina, just after 2 a.m. Oct. 10, 2021.
Bria Byrd, 23, of Rockingham, was also killed and three other people were injured.
Little is also charged with three counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and criminal conspiracy. He is being held for extradition on a $100,000 secured bond.
He makes the sixth person charged in the fatal club shooting.
Several days following the shooting, five men between the ages of 19 and 27, were arrested and charged in the case: Khalil Jaquan Watkins; Antuan Latice Zeigler; Kevin Robert Williams; Marion Devonte Ellerbe; and Ja’vonte Marquel Dockery.

Three of the suspects were found at the apartments on Cauthen Drive, one was located on Lady Mary Lane and another turned himself in, according to the Rockingham Police Department, which assisted MCSO and the U.S. Marshals Service in the arrests.
It was originally reported by MCSO that each suspect was charged with two counts of murder.
Marlboro County court records show one murder charge each was dropped against Watkins, Ziegler and Dockery in November of 2021. Williams and Ellerbe only have one murder charge listed.
All five still have the following pending charges in Marlboro County in connection to the case: three counts of attempted murder; one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime; and criminal conspiracy.
It was also previously reported that the original five suspects were all from Rockingham. Court records show Dockery, Ellerbe and Williams with Rockingham addresses, but Ziegler with an Ellerbe address and Watkins with an Albemarle address.
Online court records show Ellerbe has a pending charge from 2021 in Richmond County of possession of a firearm by a felon.
Williams has pending charges from 2020 of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, maintaining a place for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dockery has pending traffic charges, including two counts each of speeding and reckless driving to endanger.
Records with the N.C. Department of Public Safety Division of Adult Correction show Little was convicted of unauthorized use of motor conveyance in 2009 and possession of drug paraphernalia in 2014.
Four of the other five suspects also have a criminal history.
Dockery was convicted in 2018 of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Roberts’ previous convictions include: two counts of felony breaking and entering (2013); injury to real property (2013); two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon (2015, 2017); possession with intent to sell a Schedule VI controlled substance (2015); assault on a female (2015).
Ellerbe’s convictions include: misdemeanor breaking and entering, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance (2015); inciting to riot, assault inflicting serious injury (2016); assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury (2018). He was still on parole at the time of his alleged involvement the shooting.
Zeigler was also previously convicted:
- Richmond County – resisting a public officer (2017); assault inflicting serious injury, obtaining property by false pretenses (2019)
- Scotland County – breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, injury to real property (2019)
- Stanly County – felony larceny (2019)
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
