In Loving Memory of Alex R. Lucero (Update)

( October 13, 1941 – July 11, 2022 )

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our Father, Grandfather Alex R. Lucero.  He passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family at the age of 80 years old, on July 11, 2022, at Miners Colfax Medical Center.

Alex was born to Mary F. Lucero and Jose D. Lucero on October 13, 1941.  Alex enjoyed family and friends and he enjoyed going to the mountains, fishing and going on trips to the Casino.  Alex loved to spend time with his family, his face would light up with joy as he was cracking jokes making everyone laugh. 

Alex was preceded in death by his mother Mary F. Lucero, Father Joe D. Lucero. Brothers; Jose Robert Lucero, Eppie Lucero, and two sons Ruben Lucero, Alex Lucero Jr.

He leaves behind his son Rudy R. Lucero of Raton, NM, Daughter, Debra DeHerrera and husband Arnold DeHerrera of Alamosa, CO. Daughter in-law Deborah Lucero of Gilbert Arizona. Sister Laura Cruz and husband Art Cruz of Fritch, TX. Brother; Freddy Lucero of Albuquerque, NM., Anthony Lucero of Clovis, NM. Six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Three long life friends Becky Moreno, Emilio  Quintana and Joey Real.

Celebration of Life will be on Friday August 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home, with Forest McConnell Officiating.  Inurnment will follow at the Maxwell Cemetery.

Arrangements for Alex R. Lucero are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home.
