Kroening, Leland S.

Leland S. Kroening, age 42 of Clintonville died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at his home.

Leland Scott Kroening was born on September 4, 1979, at Clintonville Hospital to Scott and Sherry (Kroening) Hulett. He grew up in the Marion area and attend Marion High School. Leland worked several jobs over the years and was always super handy. He was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. Leland did lots of residential construction work and he also repaired cars.

Leland always enjoyed the outdoors; wherever he was fishing, especially at Hayman Falls County Park. He liked collecting football and baseball sports cards. Leland was also gifted artistically, creating incredible drawings and doing beautiful woodburning projects. Even though his favorite color was purple, he was an avid Packer fan. Leland was happy to share with others about his Stockbridge Native American heritage. He had a heart of gold and cherished the time spent with his family. He especially loved his children and was so proud of them.

Survivors include six children: Ashley Jacobsen of New London, Isaac Kroening of Clintonville, Isabella Kroening of Wisconsin Rapids, Shyann Kroening of Portage, Marie Kroening of Portage, and Lauraletta Kroening of Portage. He is also survived by his parents, Scott and Sherry Hulett of Marion; his grandmother, Corinne Kroening of Marion; three sisters, Shiloh (Larry) Jakubiec of Denmark, Aimee (Beth) Weisenberger of Tigerton, and Carrie (Allan) Brodhagen of Grand Marsh, WI. He is further survived by many aunts and uncles: Linda (Dave) Rockey, Mikki Hulett, Lisa (Orbee) Robenhagen, Tammy Schmidt, Kim Hulett, Kathy (Rick) Tody, Judy (Bill) Allen, Karla Kroening, Mike (Lynn) Kroening, Shelby Dewhurst, and Stanton Dewhurst; and many nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Leland was preceded in death by his sister Danielle; grandfather Douglas Hulett; grandmother Mavis (Weaver) Hulett; grandfather Marvin Kroening; and two uncles, Paul Schmidt and Bill Zoren.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 13th at 11:00 AM at Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Rev. Bidal Torrez Jr. will officiate and inurnment will be at Stockbridge Indian Burial Grounds, Town of Bartelme, Shawano County.
