WE'RE LEARNING MORE WHAT'S *BEHIND.. THE EARTHQUAKE STRIKE - *STREAK.. HITTING SOUTH CAROLINA. MORE THAN FORTY HAVE HIT SOUTH CAROLINA THIS YEAR ALREADY. MULTIPLE EARTHQUAKES CONFIRMED NEAR ELGIN YESTERDAY.... AND PEOPLE SAY THEY FELT THE *SHAKE OF THOSE QUAKES.. ALMOST HALF AN HOUR AWAY IN COLUMBIA. "I WAS LEAVING THE BANK. I'VE FELT SOME OF THE EARTHQUAKES BEFORE BUT THIS ONE FELT A LITTLE STRONGER THAN THE OTHER ONES," "IT MADE ME STUMBLE BECAUSE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A STEP. I WAS LIKE 'OH WOW, I'M FEELING AN EARTHQUAKE.'" OFFICIALS SAY THAT EARTHQUAKES IN THE STATE ARE NOT UNCOMMON ... HOWEVER THIS YEAR HAS SEEN MORE ACTIVITY THAN OTHER YEARS. "WE HAVE A LOT OF FAULT LINES THAT GO THROUGH SOUTH CAROLINA," LAVORGNA SAID. "WE'RE ONE OF THE MOST ACTIVE STATES ON THE EAST COAST WHEN IT COMES TO EARTHQUAKES. NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT."
