Max Mitchell, lead vocalist for Austin-based band We Don’t Ride Llamas, sings during the band’s set at Icenhauer’s on Thursday, March 17, 2022. The band is made up of four siblings.

Future Front, the organization formerly known as Boss Babes, will host its annual end of summer bash, Front Fest on August 25 to 28.

The festival, which celebrates female and LGBTQ creators, includes a showcase of pop and punk music at the Parish, an outdoor film screening at Laguna Gloria and a pair of pool parties at the Line.

The party kicks off on Thursday, Aug. 25 with an opening night swim session at the Line featuring tunes from DJ Lavender Thug, a member of the Central Texas drag family House of Lepore. On Friday, the party shifts to the Parish, where Austin's soulful rock outfit We Don't Ride Llamas headlines. This will be your last chance to catch Austin's breakout family band before they leave on a string of dates opening for Courtney Barnett in early September. Also on the bill, are glam punk duo Lord Friday the 13th and Kiki Machine.

On Saturday, the festival takes over the picturesque grounds at the Contemporary at Laguna Gloria for an evening that includes a panel on independent storytelling, a musical performance by the Burns Sisters and short film showcase headlined by the flick "But Humble Sinners" that premiered at Austin Film Festival earlier this year.

On Sunday, the party will close with another pool party at the line which includes a pop-up by Perreo Club.

Weekend pass tickets, which include all four days of events, are on sale now for $40. Individual tickets to the music and film showcases are available for $15 and the opening pool party tickets are $10. Tickets to the closing party are included with the weekend pass.
