The fire department was originally called to the scene for a reported building explosion at a building in the 300 block of North State Street.
According to Litchfield Mayor Steve Dougherty, a bridal shower was taking place inside the building at the time of the collapse.
Three people reported minor injuries and were taken to St. Francis Hospital.
The Litchfield Fire Department says a portion of the roof and second floor collapsed.
The building has been deemed uninhabitable by the City Building Official.
Fencing has been erected on State Street from Ryder Street to just south of Short Furniture.

We're told a structural engineer will be on-site Monday to further evaluate the buildings.
