LAKE LINDEN, MI – A suspicious fire in the Upper Peninsula is under investigation, WLUC reports.

The State Fire Marshal has been asked to investigate the Houghton County fire after local officials couldn’t determine the cause, officials said.

The blaze was reported around 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, at 510 Kilmar St. in Lake Linden, officials said.

The house was empty at the time of the fire; no injuries were reported, officials said.
