Brothers Matt and Shawn Everhart offers various programs customized to each individual clients’ goals at their training facility at 1732 Deerfield N, Dalton.

DALTON   Whether one wants to lose weight, get in shape, train for a particular sport or activity, or improve overall health, two brothers who opened a training facility in Dalton want to help everyone realize their goals.

Matt and Shawn Everhart love to see the transformation in people. When they see the smiles on clients’ faces and hear the success stories from those who have benefitted from their training programs, those are highlights for the dedicated personal trainers.

“To me, my goal is one: to help you meet yours, and two: always keep it light and fun,” Matt Everhart said.

The personal trainers want to make sure people don’t dread exercising or going to the gym. They want them to enjoy the journey to improved health and fitness so they’ll be able to maintain and continue a healthier lifestyle for the rest of their lives.

Shawn Everhart said he is just as excited as the client when someone tells him thanks to his training program they already are seeing positive changes in their lives, such as no longer being out of breath after climbing a flight of stairs, or maybe they’re able to bench press more than they ever could before.

The co-owners of Everstrength, 1732 Deerfield N, Dalton, offer one-on-one training. Customers can sign up as individuals, with a partner, or can get a handful of friends or family members together to support one another in their fitness journey. The Everharts tailor programs entirely to meet their clients’ needs, goals and dreams.

Anyone is welcome to a free initial consultation where one of the personal trainers will gather all of the information from a potential client such as history and goals, and they will develop an individualized plan.

Both brothers put priorities on making sure when people work out and exercise they do it safely and correctly. If someone is recovering from an injury, or building strength toward a particular sport, the Everharts will make sure the client is working on the right muscles in the right way to benefit them.

The twins graduated from Tuslaw in 2010 and both studied exercise science at the University of Akron. The brothers have been personal trainers for years at various facilities. They also coached Tuslaw wrestling at the junior high level. They have experience working with all ages and have clients who are pre-teens up to their 70s.

Three years ago, their childhood dream of opening up their own training facility came true. They began to grow a client base – and then the COVID-19 pandemic hit. They are bouncing back and since have returned to training individuals and groups in eastern Wayne and western Stark counties with clients as far as West Holmes in Wayne County and Jackson Township in Stark County. They hope to continue to spread the word and change lives.

So far, Everstrength doesn’t offer gym time outside of personal training sessions, but the Everharts continue to dream big and one day they may be able to grow in to a larger facility with other offerings. Until then, their focus and attention is on each client at each session – and making sure everyone is having fun and seeing the benefits.

To set up a free consultation, call or text Shawn or Matt at 330-466-6740 or 330-466-6742. For more information about the training facility and programs, check out “Everstrength” on Facebook.
