Sharon Ann “Sherry” Batson, age 74, of Glasgow, died Saturday, August 6, 2022, at TJ Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Somerset, Pennsylvania, on August 5, 1948, to the late Dale C. Blank and the late Mary Simotes Blank.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Richard Batson; four children, Kim Lorenz Cairo (John), Dee Ann Phillips, Shannon Stinnett (Joey), and Linne Warner (Chris); three siblings, Eric Blank (Ginny), Wendy Deniston (Michael), and Linda Heyborne; seven grandchildren, Garrett Cairo (Rachel), Jack Cairo, Nicholas Cairo, Chase Phillips, Noah Stinnett, Lindsay Stroemer, and Lucas Iorio (Emily); great grandchild on the way, James Iorio; several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale C. Blank and Mary Simotes Blank; stepmother, Pat Blank; one son, Jason Batson; in-law’s, Malcolm and Geneva Gale Smith: special friend, Kaye Heers.
In honor of Mrs. Batson’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation.
