MLB: Milwaukee Brewers at San Francisco Giants
USATSI

The Seattle Mariners will try to continue their push for a wild card playoff berth when they host the New York Yankees on Monday in the first game of a three-game series at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. The Mariners (59-51) are tied with the Rays for the final two wild card spots in the American League. Seattle hasn't reached the playoffs since 2001, the longest active postseason drought in the country's four major sports leagues. Meanwhile the Yankees (70-39) own the best record in the American League. Seattle is a -115 favorite (risk $115 to win $100) in the latest Mariners vs. Yankees odds from Caesars Sportsbook while New York is a -105 underdog. First pitch is set for 10:10 p.m. ET.

The game is one of seven on the MLB schedule for Monday. Elsewhere in the majors, two other teams in the AL wild card chase -- the Orioles (+158) and Blue Jays -- collide in Baltimore, and the Padres (-190) try to stop their four-game slide, against the Giants. Before making any MLB picks or parlays, be sure to check out the MLB predictions and betting advice from SportsLine's proven computer model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times, and it is 299-254 on top-rated MLB money-line picks since the start of the 2021 season, returning more than $800 for $100 players. This is the same model that pegged the 2021 Atlanta Braves at 10-1 as one of three best bets to win the World Series. Anybody who has followed the model has seen profitable returns.

Now, the model has locked in three confident MLB best bets for Monday. They all involve games at 8:05 p.m. ET or later, so there's still time to get these MLB picks in. If you successfully parlay the picks, you'd be looking at a payout of over 19-1. You can see the model's MLB picks only at SportsLine

After evaluating each of the MLB lines on Monday, the model likes San Francisco (+158) to knock off San Diego. The Giants (53-55) are feeling good after sweeping a two-game series against Bay Area rival Oakland. Meanwhile the Padres (61-50) are reeling after being blown out by the Dodgers in each game of a three-game series, pushing their losing streak to four.

San Diego, which famously added Juan Soto, Josh Bell and Brandon Drury at the trade deadline, has suddenly gone cold at the plate. Over the last four games, the Padres are hitting a paltry .138 and have averaged 1.8 runs per game. That's a significant drop from their season averages (.240 batting average and 4.4 runs per game). See who else to back right here.
