WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Gas prices in Florida fell for the eighth straight week, according to AAA.
The auto club group announced the decline on Monday, saying the average price per gallon fell 14 cents to $3.79, the lowest average since March 4.
The price per gallon has fallen $1.10 since hitting a record high of $4.89 in June.

"Falling oil prices and drooping gasoline demand has paved the way for the recent pump price plunge," said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA - The Auto Club Group. "The downturn should continue this week, after another round of big losses in both oil and gasoline futures markets."
Unfortunately for South Florida, the most expensive markets for gas can be found here in our area. West Palm Beach-Boca Raton has the highest average price per gallon at $4, while Miami is 3rd at $3.89.
