A Radcliff man has been found guilty of killing a Big Clifty woman in March 2021.

Joseph Eugene Meredith, 32, was found guilty on Friday in a Hardin County courtroom of murdering his girlfriend, 27-year-old Angela D. Kerr. According to The News-Enterprise, the jury deliberated for only 90 minutes before finding Meredith guilty.

Meredith killed Kerr on March 12 at the residence at 870 Scenic Drive in Radcliff. Her body was found outside near the backdoor of the home. She had been shot multiple times inside the home before being dragged outside.

According to court testimony, Meredith “videotaped himself having sexual intercourse with her body,” the newspaper reports. Testimony also revealed the altercation which led to Kerr’s murder began when Meredith confronted Kerr about text messages she had received from another man.

Meredith, who had been convicted of a felony prior to killing Kerr, was captured by police about seven hours after her body was found. He was in possession of the murder weapon.

Prosecutors plan to ask for a life sentence.
