Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety, City Council to Meet Tonight

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will meet tonight where they will award a bid for the solar project at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The board will also open bids for a new columbarium for the cemetery.

There will be a request to block parking spaces, and a petition to replace signage will be presented.  Department heads will also give reports as necessary.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. ET tonight followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The council members will have the second reading on the redistricting ordinance, as well as the second reading of an ordinance that fixes salaries of appointed officers and employees, fire and police personnel for 2023, and a salary ordinance amendment.

An ordinance will be presented to amend the zoning ordinance, and a resolution that addresses additional appropriations will be considered.  Two resolutions will be discussed that waives non-compliance regarding timely filing of tax abatement compliance paperwork.  A resolution concerning a commercial revitalization program grant will be considered, as well as a resolution that would confirm support for READI grant projects. 

Both meetings will be held in the second floor Council Chambers room of the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street. Those interested in attending the meeting should enter the building through the Garro Street entrance.
