Which Ohio State football players won the fashion show at preseason camp move-in day?

Ohio State walk-on tight end Zak Herbstreit (left) and walk-on offensive lineman Toby Wilson seemed to get their Tom Cruise movie homages crossed up. Wilson showed up looking like Cruise from Rain Man, while Herbstreit has more of a Goose from Top Gun look.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s preseason camp move-in day is quickly becoming a chance for walk-ons to make perhaps their most lasting impression.

Offensive lineman Toby Wilson figured this out a year ago, when he showed up in a super-patriotic romper like what Fred Flintstone might wear to CPAC. Sunday night he chose a more tasteful ensemble — though it appeared he and walk-on wingman Zak Herbstreit got their Tom Cruise movie homages crossed up.

Wilson checked into the Hyatt Place in Grandview looking like Cruise from Rain Man — with a Star Wars Lego model to put together in his down time from football. Herbstreit looked more like Goose from Top Gun. Both later came back out in more casual attire and mixed in with the media to take some photos of their own.

Walk-on cornerback Lloyd McFarquhar picked the most audacious outfit. The fifth-year senior from Cleveland Brush, who stayed with the Buckeyes after taking a look in the transfer portal, showed up in a ketchup-and-mustard track suit reminiscent of Winnie the Pooh.
