Even though it was hot out, that didn't stop parents and children from taking a visit to a rural Plymouth farm to see alpacas.
Little Creek Alpaca hosted a back to school bash featuring a variety of entertainment from music, singing, a puppet show and of course touching and feeding alpacas.
To cool off from the heat, children and even the alpacas enjoyed a splash pad and a jump into the lake.
Owner Lindsey Moore said it's all about creating a positive environment for everyone.
"To me it is a friendly environment so when they come out it's to experience nature, the farm and animals in a very relaxing and peaceful setting," Moore said.
The party continues on Sunday with food trucks, crafts, vendors and of course plenty of alpacas to meet and greet.
Admission onto the farm is completely free and the gates will be open from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Another Alpaca Beach Party is scheduled for late September.
