MOOSIC, PA — In the series finale of this six-game set, the Buffalo Bisons and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders had their game suspended due to rain midway through the sixth inning tied at one.

Bowden Francis made his second start of the series and was very sharp through his two innings of work, allowing just one hit while punching out four, three of which came in the second inning.

Hayden Juenger followed with two no-hit innings while striking out three to lower his ERA to 1.08 since joining the Bisons on July 23.

The Herd broke the scoreless tie in the fifth when L.J. Talley went yard for his third home run of the season, taking Scranton starter Mitch Spence deep to right field. The homer was the lone run given up by Spence over his five innings of work, in addition to walking one and striking out three.

The RailRiders would tie it in the bottom of the fifth when Kyle Johnston gave up an RBI single to Chris Owings, before a rain delay put a pause on things after the top of the sixth.

After an hour-long delay, the game was suspended after the field was deemed unplayable. The game will be resumed on September 26th in Moosic, PA as part of a doubleheader. Game one will pick up in the bottom of the sixth inning and be played to nine innings, with a separate nine-inning game to follow.

The Herd will enjoy an off-day tomorrow before travelling to Syracuse for the second leg of this two-week road trip. The Bisons and Mets will open up a six-game series beginning on Tuesday, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. EST.
