A 30-year-old man died in a car crash in Allegan county Saturday.
Around 5:12 p.m., Allegan county sheriff deputies, Michigan State police and Plainwell public safety officers responded to a call of an accident in Martin township.
When police arrived on scene they found a single car crash with a male driver.
The driver was unconscious and trapped inside the vehicle.
He was extracted from the car and life saving measures were performed but he did not survive, according to police.
Investigators said it appeared the driver was traveling north on 6th street, just south of 114th avenue, when he lost control and hit a large tree.
Police said he lives in the area and his name is being withheld until family is notified.
The crash was still under investigation but police said seatbelt use and alcohol were possible contributing factors.
