Oklahoma football has been the home of some of the greatest college football freshman of all-time.

A little over 50 years ago, the NCAA ruled that true freshmen could play major college football, and it offered more excitement to the game. At Oklahoma, we’ve seen countless highly talented recruits put their names in the OU history books, and it starts in their freshman season.

ESPN college football analyst Bill Connelly put together a list of “College football’s 50 greatest true freshman seasons of all time”, and four historic Sooners made the list.
