At least five men are facing penalties following a Mississippi River fishing bust that saw Louisiana officials seize more than 600 catfish Wednesday.
The five men from Mississippi nabbed in the bust could face fines and jail time, according to a report.
They were discovered by agents of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries fishing on a levee, authorities say.

Agents found ice chests containing roughly 665 blue catfish.
That amount comes in at more than six times the daily limit of 100 fish, according to Louisiana law.
Illegally keeping those fish warrants a fine of up to $500, and fishing without a license warrants a fine of $350.
The men also face possible 90-day jail sentences and additional fines of roughly $500 to restock the catfish.

The catfish were donated to an organization that helps feed the hungry and those in need.
