A Muscatine County burglary suspect has been taken into custody on the east coast.

According to the Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Michael Santiago was arrested without incident by U.S. Marshalls in Scranton, Pennsylvania on Friday. Investigators say they found Santiago thanks to an anonymous tip.

Last month the Muscatine County Sheriff’s Office posted about Santiago as part of its “Warrant Wednesdays” Facebook series. The post said that Santiago had nine outstanding warrants through multiple agencies in Muscatine County for charges of 1st Degree Burglary, 2nd Degree Theft, Domestic Abuse Assault, Obstructing Emergency Communications and Driving While Barred.

Authorities say Santiago has ties to both Muscatine and West Liberty.
