BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Gregory (Greg) Mark Hopkins, 67, of Palm Bay, FL, beloved husband of Gwendolyn (Gwen) B. (Spence) Hopkins entered peacefully into eternal rest with his Savior on Friday, July 22, 2022, at Health First’s Viera Hospital, Melbourne, FL, with his wife by his side.
Born December 19, 1954, in Hartford, CT, son of the late Grady, Sr. and Jessie Mae (Brown) Hopkins, he lived in Manchester, CT before relocating to Palm Bay, Florida 4 1/2 years ago.
Before retiring, Greg was a truck driver and served his country as a proud Marine. Greg enjoyed time with his family, driving, dancing, cooking and working with his tools, he was a self-taught mechanic and would fix just about anything.
Besides Gwen, his wife of 21 years and partner of 33 years, he is survived by his children, 3 daughters Anisha Clowners (Jay) of Union City, GA; Sheena Lynn Hopkins of Hartford, CT; Sharntae Wilson (Mark) of Melbourne, FL; 3 sons Malique Hopkins, Mahata Spence of Hartford, CT and Jamal Spence of Melbourne, FL; 1 sister Joanne Hopkins of Windsor, CT; 2 brothers James Hopkins of Manchester, CT and David Russell (Thelma) of Windsor, CT; 20 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
