With summer coming to an end and with pads coming on, NFL training camps have given a good feel for which players might be in position to make a significant leap this coming season.

Pro Football Focus’ Ari Meirov went through all 32 NFL rosters to pick “intriguing player” from each team, and for the Arizona Cardinals, he landed on second-year receiver Rondale Moore.

One of the biggest questions in Arizona is how the offense will function without wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for the first six weeks of the season. Second-year receiver Rondale Moore is the name that keeps on coming up. And with Christian Kirk now in Jacksonville, there’s a clear path for Moore to take on an increased role.

The former Purdue product was taken No. 49 overall and in the second round of last year’s draft.

The 22-year-old started seven games for the Cardinals last season, hauling in 54 catches for 435 yards and one touchdown.

Moore’s best game of the season came back in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings, where he put up seven receptions for 114 yards and his lone touchdown of the season.

The receiver missed the final three games of the season due to a Grade 2 ankle sprain suffered back in Week 15.

Like defensive end J.J. Watt, Moore returned for the Cardinals’ playoff loss to the Rams in which he recorded five receptions for 32 yards.

Moore finished last season as the league leader in catch percentage by a wide receiver with an 84.4% catch rate.
