The Jackson County Animal Shelter will be holding a reduced fee adoption event next weekend in an effort to address capacity issues.
The Jackson County Animal Shelter adoption area is unfortunately filled to capacity with over 30 dogs of various sizes and breeds.
"These dogs need homes, the shelter needs space for future dogs, and surely there are good homes for these beautiful canines!" said Claire Krulikowski with Jackson County Animal Shelter.
The community is invited to come by on Friday and Saturday, August 12 and 13 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The fees for dog adoptions is reduced to just $50, a 66% reduction from the $150 standard cost.
During this event, no appointments are required and all regular adoption, application, and screening processes remain in effect.
The shelter is located at 5595 So. Pacific Hwy (99) in Phoenix. For more information, check out the Friends of the Animal Shelter website, which is updated daily.
This event is made possible with the assistance of FOTAS which is paying the 66% difference in the adoption cost.
