COLUMBIA. S.C. (WACH) – Coroners in Warren County, Georgia have confirmed that the body of a woman found in a single car wreck along I-20 West is that of missing Columbia ICU nurse 39-year-old Shauna Brown.
Last month, Brown’s car was found in a ditch on the Georgia-Alabama line yards away from the roadway after a search involving Columbia police, highway patrol and the FBI.
The coroner identified the 39-year-old's remains using her mother’s dental records this week.
Brown’s family reported her missing the week of July 10th. It’s the same week Brown headed out for clinical studies at St. Francis Hospital in Alabama but never showed.
Brown was a well-loved ICU nurse at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital.
Her cause of death is still under investigation.
