Friday night there was a shooting at Johnson County High School in Wrightsville. According to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, it happened on Herschel Walker Boulevard, adjacent to the football field area.

According to investigators, shots were fired towards the sky and nobody was injured. Johnson County deputies immediately responded and apprehended the person responsible.
The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Joshua Jerome Russell. He has been charged with: Felony aggravated assault (multiple counts), felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (multiple counts), felony reckless conduct, felony cruelty to children, 1st degree felony carrying a weapon within a school zone, discharging a firearm near a highway or street, criminal attempt to commit a felony, inciting a Riot and several traffic violations
Johnson County Deputies, Johnson County Investigators along with Wrightsville Police are still investigating the incident.
