DEPUTIES SAY...IT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT AT JOHNSON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL. THATS IN WRIGHTSVILLE. WITNESSES SAY ABOUT TEN SHOTS RANG OUT. WE'RE TOLD - SCHOOL SECURITY ON SCENE ACTUALLY SAW THE SHOOTER - AND IMMEDIATELY RAN TOWARDS THE GUNFIRE TO SUBDUE HIM. FORTUNATELY - NO ONE WAS HURT IN THIS INCIDENT. DEPUTIES SAY THE SUSPEC

Friday night there was a shooting at Johnson County High School in Wrightsville. Johnson County deputies immediately responded and apprehended the person responsible. The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Joshua Jerome Russell. He has been charged with: Felony aggravated assault (multiple counts), felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (multiple counts), felony reckless conduct, felony cruelty to children, 1st degree felony carrying a weapon within a school zone, discharging a firearm near a highway or street, criminal attempt to commit a felony, inciting a Riot and several traffic violationsJohnson County Deputies, Johnson County Investigators along with Wrightsville Police are still investigating the incident.
