The Aviston Express record breaking season came to an end at 28-3 with their loss to Eau Claire, Wisconsin 10-7 last night in elimination play at the Great Lakes Regionals in Midland Michigan. Moline’s season also came to an end as they were eliminated by Yeager/Benson, Ohio 5-1. In the battle of tournament unbeatens, Gladwin, Michigan defeated their in-state rival Midland 11-6.
There are 2 games on the schedule today with Eau Claire and Midland playing at 4pm with the winner heading to the championship against either Yeager or Gladwin who play at 7pm. The tournament will conclude tomorrow with the champion heading to the Senior Legion World Series in Shelby, North Carolina.
