Two escape building fire at church campground in West Middlesex
Multiple fire departments are on scene working to put out a fire in West Middlesex.
The fire is at a building at the National Association of the Church of God (NACOG) on the 400 block of Campground Road and broke out around 2:30 a.m.
Calls went out shortly after 2:45 a.m. for a tanker from across state lines to help put out the fire.
The NACOG Chief Operating Officer said the fire was at a dining and residence hall on the property.
Two people were inside and made it out safely.
According to the NACOG website, the campground is the oldest black-owned campground in the United States.
They were also preparing to host their Homecoming on the Hill event with people from all over the U.S., Caribbean and Africa for a week-long event beginning Sunday.
It's unclear if the fire will affect the event.
We have a 21 News crew at the scene gathering more information.
