The 101st annual Caddo County Free Fair will be August 29 through September 1 at the Caddo County Fairgrounds located in Anadarko.

The fair will kick off on Monday with the swine and poultry shows starting at 9 a.m., followed by the goat show.

The fair will feature a livestock show including cattle and sheep, a car show, a food truck championship and a children’s pedal tractor pull on the evening of August 30 at 6 p.m.

The horse show will take place September 1 at 6 p.m. at the fairgrounds arena. Entries will be taken at 5 p.m.

Caddo County OHCE will have a concession stand in the Baldwin Building with drinks, snacks and food. The Baldwin Building will also be open for viewing the entries in the open class and 4-H exhibits.

The exhibits throughout the week will include agricultural displays, livestock shows, hobbies, fine arts, textiles, quilts, flowers, crop samples, horticulture, baking and canning.

This year on Tuesday evening after the end of the cattle show, the supreme heifer exhibitor will be awarded the Wes Stover Memorial Scholarship. Stover was an agriculture teacher for the Anadarko and Lookeba-Sickles area.

“Last year, we were able to incorporate in the car show and the food truck championship, and that was super successful. This year, we are hoping to build off of that success and get even more involvement and an even better turnout,” fair board member Alison Whitney said.

Livestock entries must be pre-registered prior to August 15. Local agriculture instructors or certified 4-H volunteer leaders will submit a list of exhibitors to Jason Ramming at jasonramming@yahoo. com. All final entries must be entered through the Google form sheet provided by the Caddo County Fair Board by August 26.

Open class and 4-H exhibit entries will be accepted from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. August 29 at the Baldwin Building at the Caddo County Fairgrounds.

For the car show, contestants with old or new cars, trucks, tractors or motorcycles they would like to enter can do so by contacting Alison Whitney at 405-320-1667.

Fair books are available at the OSU Extension Office located at 1202 E Central Blvd, Anadarko, OK. The fair book is posted on 4-H member’s ZSuites home page and will also be posted on the Caddo County OSU Extension website at https://extension.okstate. edu/caddo.
