The new airport terminal facility at the Weatherford Stafford Airport is reaching completion and is scheduled to be finished late September or early October.
“We’re pretty well on schedule. The flooring and the outside siding are supposed to be in by the end of this month and those items are supposed to be completed in September and hopefully everything will be done by October,” Mayor Mike Brown said.
The airport terminal was originally bid close to $1 million, but inflation costs made the terminal about a $1.7 million project.
“The price of this project went up a bunch, but the additional price was paid for by the aeronautics commission,” Brown said.
