That’s what we try to do,” Martha Lambert said.Brynn and Connor Frazier had ice cream for dinner the night before and ice cream for lunch while visiting Maine from Massachusetts. For them, a must-stop is Fielder’s Choice Homemade Ice Cream in Old Orchard Beach. The portions are bigger than you'd expect. Even the smallest size — the "bunt" — is huge. The MacDonalds spend summers in Maine and Fielder's Choice is their choice every time.“We are from Venice, Florida, but I have to come here every single time,” Kathy MacDonald said. “Well, every time we have company, they have to be brought here. It’s part of the plan.”In Kennebunkport near Dock’s Square, you’ll find Rococa. When she lived in Argentina – she lived there for 10 years – she got inspired by all the different cultures she experienced. So when she came back to Maine, back where she’s from she got inspired by the different cultures and wanted to make something out of it and her love of ice cream kind of inspired that as well,” Feehan said. “Our best seller is definitely goat cheese blackberry Chambord.”Another unique flavor is olive oil, rosemary and pop etas. Bresca and the Honey Bee at Outlook Beach in New Gloucester also made Yankee's list of outstanding ice cream. They have been whipping up their fancy, creamy treats for years.
