ABBEVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A moped driver died following a crash Thursday afternoon in Abbeville County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 5:54 p.m. on Drake road near Kirkpatrick Road.
Troopers said a 2020 moped was traveling east on Drake Road when it traveled off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and spilled on the roadway.
The moped driver was taken to the hospital where they died Friday morning. ‘
The Abbeville County Coroner’s Office identified the driver as John Holsonback, 57, of Donalds.
