Three Port Huron residents are facing multiple charges following a pair of recent drug raids in the city.

At 8 p.m. Aug. 2, the St. Clair County Drug Task Force concluded an investigation into methamphetamine sales in the Port Huron area with the execution of a search warrant at a residence on the 1600 block of Wells Street.

During the search, authorities located methamphetamine, suboxone, packaging materials and a scale, officials from the sheriff’s office said.

Two residents of the home — a 34-year-old male and a 35-year-old female — were arrested. Charges including possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute and maintaining a drug house have been filed with the St. Clair County Prosecutor’s Office.

U.S. Border Patrol K-9 assisted with the investigation.

At 4:30 p.m. Aug. 3, the DTF concluded an investigation into heroin sales with the execution of a search warrant at an apartment in the 600 block of Taylor Street in Port Huron.

The suspect — a 60-year-old resident of the apartment — was first located and arrested while exiting a local gas station.

The search warrant was then executed at the apartment, where a prepackaged dealer amount of heroin was located.

The suspect was lodged at the St. Clair County jail awaiting arraignment on charges including possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute and maintaining a drug house.
