Big changes are in order when Ink Master returns via Paramount+ this fall.
For starters, the 10-episode revival season — which kicks off on Wednesday, Sept. 7 — will be hosted by Joel Madden, lead singer of the pop/punk band Good Charlotte.
As for Dave Navarro, Ink Master‘s former host will return as the show’s “Master of Chaos,” responsible for “introducing crazy twists and game-changing bombs to the competition.”
Madden and Navarro will be joined by three new judges: Ryan Ashley, the first female tattoo artist to win Ink Master back in Season 8; Nikko Hurtado, regarded as “one of the world’s best color realism artists”; and Ami James, a tattoo specialist and entrepreneur.
This season’s contestants are all “legendary fan-favorite artists” from previous Ink Master installments, facing off in “some of the biggest, most exciting and epic challenges seen in the history of the competition,” according to the official description. In addition to the title of “Ink Master,” the winner will take home the show’s biggest prize yet — a whopping $250,000.
“The legends will need to prove they possess the high level skills that sets an Ink Master apart: composition, precision, color theory, finesse, stamina and endurance,” the description continues. “With stakes higher than they’ve ever been, a single misstep could send them home and, in the end, only one artist will walk away with the title.”
From MTV Entertainment Studios and Truly Original, Ink Master is executive-produced by Glenda Hersh, Steven Weinstock and Andrea Richter, Benjamin Hurvitz, Jessica Zalkind, Tim Palazzola and Donny Hugo Herran.
Ink Master originally aired for 13 seasons on Spike/Paramount Network, birthing three spinoffs in the process — Ink Master: Redemption, Ink Master: Angels and Ink Master: Grudge Match.

Excited to have the show back. Love that Dave will still be in the mix, and I like the new judges. Will miss Chris, though, and even Oliver.
I am going to miss Chris. Wish Dave was still hosting, but glad to still have him be a part of the show
Miss this show despite the racist judge controversy. Why it gotta be on paramount+ though? Boo.
YES!!! Hopefully the finalists from the canceled season 13 finale can be back somehow. Glad we have a new crop of judges and an ink master as well! Hope the judging will be better than Chris who in retrospect was a pretty bad and biased judge.
so true re: nunez’s biases…
Yes!!! so glad this is back with a new crop of judges. Will miss Olie but it is time for new blood. Glad we will have an actual ink master on the panel. Hopefully the finalists from season 13 can comeback somehow and for the judging to be better that Chris Nunez. In retrospect he was a pretty bad judge and biased (just go to reddit and he was definitely not popular).
Thank heavens! I have been praying for it to come back. Love, love this show and can’t wait for September.
Well this is the one show that will make me sign up for a Discovery+ trial…
Paramount+, not Discovery+
It’s on Paramount+
It’s a new era for the show. I only wish it was on another network
I’m SUPER excited to see what’s in store! So happy Ink Master is back!!!
Love the show, has made me really research my artists and what to look for when getting my tattoos. Looking forward to when canvases will be picked from socal!!
I love this show artists, skills and drama all together with a crazy looking finals… I would like to get a chance to be a canvas …Im a fan
I am not going to watch do like any of the three judges they should change the Ink Master I gone see ya lost me I have been a huge fan of Ink Master well with these three no way I will not atvall watch it with those no way
Get a life
Will miss you on the new show… Best of luck
You lost me hun with your comment alone. How could you not be excited to see that the FIRST FEMALE Winner of Ink Master Ryan Ashley will be a judge fir the revived series? She Deserves that title 100%! Tattooing has for so long been a male dominated field, the women who chose to break that barrier fought long and hard to prove they are just as great as any top notch male tattoo artist in the industry! I am definitely excited to see its being Revived, especially with them having Ryan as one of the judges! Ami too is an artist I am familiar with and I am glad to see he will be one of the judges too. I will very much miss Oliver Peck but, i won’t miss Chris so much. Great artist but he was very biased especially with regards to the female artists.
Uhm, what?
Yay been waiting for new Ink Masters. I love Ryan Ashley and think she’ll bring a fresh take on it. Can’t wait to see who comes back and see Dave’s twists
Sounds good.
I had hoped Ryan Ashley would become a judge. She is such an amazing talent. Hurtado and James are great too!
Super glad Dave Navarro still has a hand. The show just would not be the same without him.
Looking forward to the new season.
Smart decision executives for bringing back the show.
Glad the show is finally rerurning with an “all stars” season. Happy to see Dave is back. Will DEFINATELY miss Chris. Happy to see Ami. Would have loved to see him and Chris (Miami Ink) together again. Was hoping he was on the short list.
Bring back Nunez
I’m happy to see it come back. Navarro introducing twists sounds dumb but I’d rather watch artists complete challenges and actually tattoo than bicker with each other. I’m SO glad Ryan Ashley and Nikki are going to be there but was hoping Ami James was long gone from TV Tattooing. It’s weird to see him replace Oliver seeing as how he made Oliver’s ex-wife famous. Plus since Nunez and Oliver were a bit infamous for treating the production staff the same way they’d treat their shop staff, isn’t having Ami in there a little risky? He’s not exactly known for being the most feminist guy to work for.
Either way I’m glad it’s back, but I’ll miss Oliver and Nunez even if they were, to put it nicely, problematic.
Love the idea! Ryan is a great choice for being a judge. I do hope there is more control and flow in the live finally. In past they have seemed out of control and lags.
Looking forward to seeing the new season
I am so glad the show is coming back! Ryan Ashley is a great addition! My favorite part of the show has always been Dave Navarro.
Can’t wait! It will be cool to see the new panel and judges, but glad Dave is part of the show.
So glad it’s coming back!! Guess I’ll have to keep Paramount+ for a while longer. Absolutely love Ryan Ashley and Ami and look forward to seeing them judge! Glad Dave is still around, but will miss the original judges, especially Chris.
Excited to see the new season of InkMaster!!! Love Dave Navarro, so glad he’s still there. Glad to see Ashley Ryan and the other new judges too. Can’t wait to see who comes back!!
Oops, sorry, Ryan! I love your work , didn’t mean to write your name wrong.
I think it’s great that Ryan and Ami are judges and they are great, Nikko is an amazing artist with tattoos that are life like, i have been watching Nikko for years. With Dave still on this will be another great seaon, and Chris will be missed. Cant wait till September
I am so excited to see our Ink Masters back in the game. Being a major fan, I learned a lot but now with Fibromyalgia by body won’t take anymore of my work. Yes, I did all my own. Thank you my Lovelies. Can’t wait to see Ryan, I would have loved having work done by her. All my prayers and Blessings to you all!
Excited to have the show return been watching since first episodes. Love them all. Gonna be nice to see new faces. 😊 cant wait.
