On Sunday, Aug. 7, Rich Shertenlieb from Toucher & Rich is going to join me in the CYY studios for The Ultimate Metallica Show to share some of his favorite Metallica tunes as well as regale all of us with a few metal memories.

If you met Rich when he and Toucher came to Portland a few months ago, you likely got into a conversation about music. Not surprisingly, as soon as he met Xander, they jumped deep into talking about all things rock and roll.

More than a music fan, though, Rich is a metal and METALLICA fan. And like many of you, he was at Boston Calling for their huge show on Sunday, May 29.

If you caught Toucher & Rich this morning (Friday), you heard Rich talk about his nerdy love for Metallica and how excited he is to get in the studio for The Ultimate Metallica Show.

"I'm a huge fan and I have been since I was a kid," he explained on the air. "I want to pick songs that are maybe more obscure and maybe meant something...I could talk about metal forever."

Rich gave away a few hints about the songs he's planning to spin, including the Budgie cover "Breadfan," which was first released as the B-side for the "Harvester of Sorrow" single in 1988.
