The City of Weatherford said they have received several calls about an unlicensed solicitor going door-to-door wanting to install an electric meter ontop of roofs.

“Anytime a vendor goes to an individual’s door trying to sell something, it is best to ask if they have a city permit. If they don’t have a permit they are not legit,” Assistant Police Chief Josh VanDeburgh said.

VanDeburgh said if this happens to anyone, it is best to call the police.

“We will come over and talk to them. We will check and see if they have a permit and if they don’t they could be cited or even arrested,” VanDeburgh said.
