Jimmie Allen concert canceled at Mississippi Valley Fair

The Mississippi Valley Fair’s official Facebook page shared that Thursday’s scheduled performer, Jimmie Allen, was “stuck in Pennsylvania” “due to technical difficulties” and that his show was canceled.

The message was posted just before 7 p.m.

Local 4 News reached out to the Fair for more information, but was unable to connect with anyone at the time.

Fair general manager Shawn Loter later posted that Allen was scheduled “on a commercial flight that kept getting bumped” and “trying to line up a private jet in a short notice didn’t work.”

He apologized for the cancellation.

Around 8 p.m., Allen took to Twitter to complain about the airline and wondered who was going to pay for his band, who was already in Davenport.
