One driver was seriously injured today (Thu) in a two-vehicle crash south of Minot.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened around 8:00 AM at the intersection of U-S Highway 83 and State Highway 23.

A southbound SUV stopped at the intersection, but as it crossed the southbound lanes of Highway 83, a Kenworth truck tractor struck the SUV on the driver’s side.

Troopers say the SUV driver, a 19-year-old Dunseith man, was airlifted to a Minot hospital with serious injuries.

The truck driver, a 62-year-old Bismarck man, was not hurt.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
