The grandson of a Former Newton County Commissioner has announced that he is a write-in candidate for the seat that his grandfather once held. Brian Lewis says he’s running for the Precinct 2 slot, once occupied by his grandfather, Bo Lewis.
The announcement from Lewis doesn't say what his political party affiliation is, but he'll be going up against Democratic Party nominee Phillip A. White, who faced no opponent in the March Primary.
According to Lewis, he is currently a Newton County employee working in the Precinct 3 Commissioner's Office.
The November Mid-Term Election will be Tuesday, November 8th, 2022.
