ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A teenager was injured in a shooting Thursday near a convenience store in Anderson County.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Zane’s Fast Stop around noon for a report of a drive-by shooting.
When they arrived at the scene, deputies found a teenage boy with at least one gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to the hospital for injuries that were not believed to be non-life threatening.
The sheriff’s office later said that they determined the shooting was not a drive-by.
Deputies said that two people, who were both armed, were in a car when they got into a fight and the teen was shot.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
