The Texas Department of Health and Human Services is warning Texans of a new phone scam that targets those Lone Star cards who receive SNAP and TANF benefits. According to Every Texan, formerly the Center for Public Policy Priorities, more than 3 million Texans rely on SNAP benefits to feed themselves and/or their families.
