Championship season for the Kanab Bull Sharks

This past weekend the Kanab Bull Sharks finished their season by bringing home the championship trophy for the second year in a row! The Tri-Sate League Championships were held at Utah Tech University on July 29 and 30, with the Kanab Bull Sharks, Hurricane Tiger Sharks, Dixie Trailblazers and Mesquite Manta Rays all in attendance.

The Bull Sharks scored a combined total of 2,472.50 points to capture the championship title over the Dixie Trailblazers who scored a total 2,0889 securing them the second-place finish. The Mesquite Manta Rays scored 964.50 points putting them in third place and the Hurricane Tiger Sharks finished in fourth place with 685 points.

Kanab City Rec would like to thank Eva Raddatz for dedicating her summer to our swim team program. With close to 120 swimmers on the team, it’s quite the task to take on coaching, and Raddatz does an amazing job. “It’s awesome to watch the swimmers from the beginning of the season to the end and see the progress that each of them makes,” said Rec Director Danielle Ramsay. “They should all be very proud of what they accomplished this year and for being back-to-back champions!”

The Kanab Bull Sharks will celebrate their championship season next week with none other than a pool party!
