Pettis County woman dies Tuesday night following Highway 127 crash

PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A La Monte woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 127 Tuesday night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, a 2018 GMC Acadia drove through a stop sign and was hit by an 18-wheeler on Highway 127 at Route Y.

Virginia Taylor, the driver of the Acadia was pronounced dead at the scene.

Thomas Hurst, 40, was driving the 18-wheeler and had serious injuries. He was taken to University Hospital for treatment.

This is the 36 fatal crash in Troop A's location and 38th death.
