Quincy murder suspect's trial set for November

QUINCY, Ill. (KHQA) —
A man accused of killing another man in the Gross Gables Subdivision in Adams County, Illinois in February is expected to go to trial in November.

Devere Gholston, 27, is accused of killing Robert Schmidt, 67, on Feb. 17, 2022.
A 15-year-old juvenile also has been arrested in connection with the crime.
On Wednesday, Gholston was back in court where his next court dates were set.
Gholston's status hearing and pre-trial are set for October, while the jury trial is scheduled for November.
