Clinton County Public Transit to discontinue CCC shuttle
Clinton County Public Transit will not bring back a seasonal shuttle to a local college this fall.
The agency, also known as CCPT, says the route that offered a connection between Clinton Community College’s main campus and its dorms saw a sharp decline in ridership when the dorms closed a few years ago. That has continued even with several changes to try and encourage student use.
Additionally, CCPT says it has seen an increase in bus maintenance costs and longer wait times for needed parts.
Clinton Community College will still be a stop on the Keeseville/AuSable route several times a day.
