Blue Note New York has unveiled the dates and lineup for a multi-night musical celebration honoring The Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, who passed away in 2021. The concerts will take place from Aug. 29 through 31 and have been billed as double features each evening, with early and late shows every night of the three-day stand. 

The lineup will consist of The Rolling Stones touring band Bernard Fowler, Darryl Versace and Tim Ries, who will appear alongside featured guests David Gilmore, Gary Versace and Jeff “Tain” Watts. Additionally, on Aug. 29, the ensemble will see accompaniment from trumpeter Randy Becker. While the remaining nights, Aug. 30 and 31, they’ll welcome special guest bassist John Patitucci. 

As of late, The Rolling Stones have been touring across Europe in celebration of their 60th anniversary. Their final tour stop is scheduled to take place tonight at the Waldbühne in Berlin, Germany.
