Wayne was born in Lawrence County, Tennessee. He passed away in Lakeland, Florida from a long illness. Our Lord called him home on May 28, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, George Hall, from Buttermilk Ridge, and his mother, Jane Hall Thompson, of Lakeland, Florida.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 11 years, Carolyn Hall Stephens of Waynesboro, and their daughters, Stephanie Braman of Stanley, North Carolina and her son Zachary Vaughn; her two daughters, Hannah and Destiny Braman, their daughter Ronda Clark and her husband Chris Clark of Waynesboro; their son, Christian Clark of Waynesboro; their daughter, Ashley Clark of Memphis.
Wayne grew up on Eagle Creek. He went to school in Clifton. He married Carolyn in 1969, had their first daughter in 1971. They had a friend in Florida who got Wayne a job in an auto body shop. We moved to Florida in 1971.
Wayne put a lot of pride in his job. It had to be perfect. It was not very long before his name and his excellent work got all over Winter Haven, Florida. He was the best auto body man, he could get a job just on his name.
