An Altus employee died after suffering injuries while operating a Caterpillar Scraper at the city landfill.Around 10 a.m. Tuesday, police and first responders learned of an incident at the city landfill. Crews took the city employee to an Oklahoma City hospital, where authorities said she died.The Altus Police Department identified the city employee as Tonya Brand.Authorities said the employee was operating the road scraper down a steep embankment when the incident occurred. The incident is under investigation.
