Telemundo Utah (KULX) has promoted Pedro Andrade to assistant news director.
Andrade will be responsible for overseeing KULX’s multi-platform news operations and will report to Jose Suarez, president and gm of KULX.
“Pedro is a skilled newsroom leader. He led the launch of KULX’s new half-hour newscast and did an excellent job leading the team that produced multiple news specials which have raised the bar for enterprise journalism we deliver to our audiences,” said Suarez. “I look forward to seeing what he and our news team will do together.”
Andrade joined KULX in 2020 as a producer after working at sister-station Telemundo 48 (KSTS) in San Jose for 5 years. Telemundo Utah said he led the station’s expansion to better serve Spanish speakers in the market. He launched his career in broadcasting as the host of a local radio station in Caracas, Venezuela.
